Importance of Classics

Salvete Amici! I am Soham Shah, and I have been part of our FJCL ever since 7th grade back in 2019. I am extremely passionate about the classics and have won multiple awards at the national level. Additionally, I have also have the privilege to be one of the board members of our FJCL. The subject of classics has helped change my viewpoint of the world by helping me think differently.

In fact, classics has truly withstood the test of time as ideas such as democracy play an essential role in our present society. Classics provides us with a window into the past, offering insights into the structures of different eras. Through this study, we can trace the evolution of human thought and compare major aspects from the present and the past.

Throughout, the classics provides a lot of opportunity to show creativity and innovation. Many groundbreaking ideas have initially come from patterns and events seen in the classical world. Ones who reject the classics have the risk of losing their touch with the past. Hence, through this platform, we want to reach out to the world about the beauty of classics! Gratias tibi ago!
